Working in a general practice law firm has allowed me to gain valuable experience in the areas of family law, corporate/commercial, real estate, wills and estates and criminal law. I have appeared in and been successful at all levels of Alberta Courts, as well as arranging favourable resolutions through mediation, arbitration and similar alternatives.

I take pride in my work and always prioritize the best interests of my clients. If it’s real-estate or corporate/commercial work, I will ensure that your transaction is handled professionally and prudently. If it’s family-law and/or litigation related work, I will guide and assist you in making some difficult decisions and pursuing best possible results.

If you require a lawyer to assist you with real-estate, corporate/commercial, wills & estates or family-related issues, I’m your guy!

Heather Jordan - Lawyer

After finishing high school in Toronto, I moved to Saskatoon where I graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Arts High Honours in 2011, a Master of Arts in 2015 and my Juris Doctor degree in 2015.

After graduating law school, I moved to Fort Saskatchewan to begin articling as a student at law. After seven years of experience in general practice, I have gained valuable experience in family law, criminal law, civil litigation, real estate, wills and estates, and administrative law and have been serving the community of Fort Saskatchewan ever since!

I am a tea connoisseur and I have three spoiled cats who like to think they are the boss of me. After work, I enjoy curling up with a cup of tea and a warm blanket in front of the fireplace.

I take great pride in my work and feel very fortunate to be a part of the family here at Armstrong & Lypka LLP!

Main Areas of Practice: Family Law, Litigation

Adebola Ojefua - Lawyer

I was called to the Nigerian Bar Association in 2007, I then ventured into the Corporate/Commercial

world as an In-House counsel in the Banking industry, in Nigeria.

I migrated to Canada in 2011, and I have lived in the City of Fort Saskatchewan since 2019.

I became an active member of the Law Society of Alberta, and the Canadian Bar Association in

2022. Prior to this time, I took up different roles, in different organizations, mostly in the financial

institution.

My approach to practice is to work collaboratively with my clients, considering the uniqueness of

each client’s situation. I find this style of practice very effective, for the long and short term.

I love to spend my time with my family when I am not working. I enjoy simple things like falling

asleep on the couch, with the TV on, or just simply reading a book.

Main Areas of Practice: Criminal Law, Family Law, Litigation

Lily Howard - Student at Law

I grew up in White Rock, BC and lived in the greater Vancouver area until I finished my Bachelor of Arts with distinction at the University of British Columbia. From there, I wanted a change and moved to Edmonton to do my law degree at the University of Alberta which I completed in 2024. I fell in love with the prairies and decided to stay, so since graduating law school, I’ve joined the team here in Fort Saskatchewan to do my articling.

My previous roles while working and volunteering as a law student involved family law, and some human rights and non-profit work.

I love matcha and walks in nature, and taught myself to both knit and crochet. I’m also an amateur photographer with both digital and analog cameras.

Lynne Edwards - Real Estate Conveyancer

I grew up in Labrador and spent time raising my own family in England and Newfoundland before settling in Fort Saskatchewan in 2007. While raising my family I worked a variety of roles including youth employment counselling and teaching fitness classes, as well as volunteering at the school library. These roles and my experience travelling and living in multiple cities have given me life skills that have assisted me in my current profession. Outside of the office, I have a passion for teaching aqua-size at our local pool, playing soccer, and biking and kick-sledding with my dogs on our beautiful local trails.

When I moved to Fort Saskatchewan, I began working for a law firm in conveyancing. This is where I found what I knew would be a long-time career in the community that was now our forever home. I have a vast amount of experience handling residential and commercial real estate transactions including sales, purchases and refinances. I am able to manage a high volume of transactions each month and ensuring every client is well cared for is my top priority.

I look forward to assisting with your real estate needs and endeavor to make your transaction as seamless and stress-free as possible.

I have never seen the show Suits and have no idea what the rest of my co-workers are talking about.

Leanne Cameron - Legal Assistant

I was born and raised in Fort Saskatchewan and have deep ties to our community. My first job was coaching gymnastics locally and I continued to do that for 23 years including 12.5 as head coach of the local club. I always loved working with athletes and coaching gave me many life skills that have transitioned into my now full-time career. Time management, organization, multi-tasking, conflict resolution and public speaking have all been vital in this field and I acquired these skills from my coaching career.

In the fall of 2004, I began working as a legal assistant for an Edmonton firm while attending Grant MacEwan’s legal assistant program. I graduated from that program in 2005 and moved to a firm in Fort Saskatchewan in the summer of 2007. I remained working until I had my children which is when this side of my life took a back seat for 5 years. My return to this field came in 2017 and I continue to have a focus on family law which has been my main area of law for 12 years now.

I am looking forward to this venture with a brand new firm and gaining experience in other areas of law.

I have been working with Scott for many years and even though he doesn’t like the show Suits, he is still alright to work with.

Krystle Romkey - Legal Assistant

I was born and raised in Calgary but have called the Edmonton area home since 2010.

I have a wonderful husband and 3 great kiddos at home who I love spending time with. We are frequently found around the campfire during the summer and fireplace during the winter.

I spent 20+ years practicing veterinary medicine as a registered veterinary technologist and in the spring of 2021, I decided to pursue my long-time interest in the legal profession. I graduated from MacEwan University in 2023 as a paralegal and have been loving every minute of my new career path.

I feel very fortunate to be a part of the team here at Armstrong & Lypka and look forward to helping serve the community of Fort Saskatchewan!

Ryley Hammond - Legal Assistant

I was born in Airdrie, Alberta, but I spent my entire life in the city of Fort Saskatchewan. If my face looks familiar to you, I may have assisted you at the local Southfort Shoppers Drug Mart, where I worked for nearly 4 of my teenage years!

Out of the blue, my mother suggested that I would enjoy the Paralegal Studies Program at Grant MacEwan University, and although I won’t admit it to her - she couldn’t have been more correct! I graduated with distinction in 2023 after completing my summer practicum at Armstrong & Lypka. After my practicum finished, I was ecstatic to be able to continue with the firm. I have been incredibly fortunate to learn from such a wonderful team and be given the opportunity to serve the community I grew up in. My education and experience only furthered my interest in the legal field, which led me to continue my studies at Grant MacEwan. I am currently working through a Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Legal Studies in Business. Due to my schooling, I am only in the office part-time during the winter and fall, but all year, I look forward to the summer when I am able to assist with real estate transactions full-time!

As for the ‘Suits’ debate, I like the show, but I love ‘Better Call Saul.’

Tina Christensen - Office Assistant

Born in Lethbridge, Alberta, and raised primarily in the Edmonton area, I moved to Fort Saskatchewan in 1999 to provide my children with the experience of growing up in a smaller community. As a wife, mother of six, and Baba to three grandchildren, family is central to my life.

We love camping, kayaking, and spending time outdoors, especially at our seasonal camping spot in Parkland County, where we go whenever possible from spring through fall. Traveling to warmer destinations is another favorite family tradition, with trips planned a couple of times a year.

Professionally, I’ve spent most of my career in the medical field, and I recently had the opportunity to meet with the Armstrong & Lypka team. I look forward to contributing to the team and expanding my knowledge and experience.

Megan Crow - Receptionist

I was born and raised in Fort Saskatchewan but took on a move to Sturgeon County after graduating high school. I am a high school graduate from the class of 2024. I started my first job as a receptionist at 14 years old. I grew a strong liking to the career and chose to stick with it! I am very passionate about the front desk career because I love meeting and talking with new people as well as taking on many responsibilities that come with the role. I felt very honoured to join the Armstrong & Lypka team when the opportunity came my way! My co-workers are all amazing people!

At home I have one older brother and one younger brother… being caught in the middle and being the only daughter has taught me how to deal with many tough things, such as being the favourite child and not rubbing it in. I have very loving and supportive parents! In addition to family members I have Waylon, my mini Australian shepherd, he is my built in best friend! When I’m not in the office I love spending my time at home with my family and all the farm animals. I enjoy every moment!

Also ‘suits’ is my favourite show of all time.
